EAMES INSTITUTE and PROJECT COLOR CORPS Private Tour
Wednesday, September 25th
2pm - 4pm
Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity
1330 S 51st St, Richmond, CA 94804
Join us for an intimate tour of The Eames Institute!
Guests will experience a personal, behind-the-scenes guided tour of the Eames Archive with Llisa Demetrios, chief curator of the Eames Institute and granddaughter of Ray and Charles. This private viewing will showcase not only the iconic designs we all know and love, but also rarely-seen artifacts that fed the Eameses' curiosity and design process.
The Eames Institute opened in February 2024 in Richmond, California with immediate fanfare and a yearslong wait list. Preserving thousands of original artifacts as a first-of-its-kind design archive, this record encapsulates the Eameses’ devoted creative partnership and unique processes.
The institute's goal is to demonstrate how the couple's methods can help solve problems we face today and share lessons that we can take from their approach to design.
After the tour, Project Color Corps Founder, Laura Guido-Clark and Llisa Demetrios will host a Conversation About Color and a celebratory Champagne Toast.
